After years of transformation, the area of La Sallaz is now physically much closer to the city centre than it's ever been. The new metro line brings areas which until recently seemed remote closer to the heart of Lausanne, but this new geography needs to be borne out by experience. On the border between urban space and nature, the Festival wishes to instigate a dialog between contemporary art, ballads and more crude, physical art forms. This year, the Place de La Sallaz hosts a large stage, the Friday and Saturday evening afterparties take over the Tridel incineration plant, circus shows will be held in the nearby Clairière (or Glade, close to the Sauvabelin forest) and the Swiss Radio (RTS) Studio 15 will host a contemporary dance show for adults!
